Carriers made from our UHMW-PE ensure safe and gentle transport of goods between process steps. For a positioning plate for tools picked up by a robot, form stability, dimensional accuracy, and chemical resistance were the key focus areas. We manufactured a component similar to the one in the image to hold the product and transport it to the next step. Even in work steps such as immersion in solutions, the components we used exhibit high-quality properties.

Hybrid Manufactured Cross Beam

The crossbeam made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic fibers stands out with an exceptional combination of bending and torsional stiffness, as well as an extremely low weight. Compared to a similar steel version, the weight reduction is 78%, and for an aluminum structure, it is 35% – High performance in perfection.

Support Structure for Satellite Instruments

For the SLSTR (Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer) measuring instrument as part of the ESA-Copernicus program, we manufactured highly precise support structures. The instrument is deployed on the Sentinel-3 satellite and provides data for Earth observation – for example, on the temperature and color of seas and land areas. The support structure consists of CFRP-aluminum sandwich panels, which, due to their low weight, high rigidity, and controlled thermal expansion, meet the extreme requirements of space. The assembly is manufactured to the highest tolerances and combines carbon, high-performance aluminum, and titanium to create a highly stable support structure that can withstand the stresses of a rocket launch.
