MURTFELDT Supplier Code of Conduct
As an international company, MURTFELDT is committed to achieving the highest quality standards in the manufacture and sale of its products. For us, quality includes product safety, environmental friendliness and legally and ethically impeccable behaviour on our part and that of our business partners. To this end, we have established a Group-wide compliance management system.
Introduction
We rely on supplies and services from suppliers, service providers, sub-contractors and other persons - all hereinafter referred to as "Suppliers" - and we also have the above-mentioned claims against our Suppliers. It is on this basis that we agree this Supplier Code with you. It contains rules that should be observed and followed as a matter of course and sets out our expectations that we are prepared to meet.
Respect in dealing with all people, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, is a matter of course for MURTFELDT. We would therefore like to make it clear that we use the masculine form of address in this Supplier Code solely for the sake of readability. It applies equally to all genders.
We expect all suppliers to MURTFELDT to incorporate a shared basic understanding of respect for human rights, compliance with laws and environmental protection into their contractual relationships and to implement this consistently in practice. We therefore intend to work with our suppliers to regularly review compliance with this legal, sustainability and ethical framework and to implement any necessary improvements. However, in the unlikely event of serious non-compliance or non-cooperation, termination of the business relationship will be considered.
The following requirements are the minimum conditions for our cooperation. We encourage our suppliers to implement further policies with higher ethical and sustainability standards for themselves and their employees, taking into account their specific needs.
Wherever this Supplier Code refers to MURTFELDT for the sake of simplicity, but MURTFELDT itself is not a party to the contract, the following positions or requirements of MURTFELDT shall also apply to the respective company that is the contractual partner of the supplier. Insofar as our suppliers provide services for MURTFELDT with the help of upstream suppliers, subcontractors or other third parties, it is the responsibility of the suppliers to agree the following principles and obligations in their own name and in relation to these upstream suppliers, subcontractors or third parties or to ensure compliance in some other way. Only the consistent integration of these principles and commitments throughout the supply chain can ensure that fundamental human rights, fair working conditions, occupational safety and environmental protection are respected throughout the supply chain.

2. Überprüfung der Einhaltung unserer Ansprüche und Erwartungen
Wir als MURTFELDT Group stellen uns internen wie externen Audits, um die Lieferkette nachhaltig und dauerhaft zu gewährleisten und zu verbessern.
Wir erwarten von unseren Lieferanten, dass sie hieran in geeigneter Weise mitwirken. Wir begrüßen es, wenn Lieferanten ihre Managementsysteme zertifizieren lassen und dies der MURTFELDT Group nachweisen können.
Wir erwarten von unseren Lieferanten, dass sie unsere durchgeführten Risiko-Analysen unterstützen. Die Ergebnisse der Analysen beeinflussen unsere Lieferantenbewertung und damit Entscheidungen zur Auftragsvergabe im Einkauf.
Wir erwarten von unseren Lieferanten, dass sie in geeigneter Form sicherstellen, dass ihre Mitarbeiter, Zulieferer und Subunternehmer verbindlich zur Einhaltung der Inhalte dieses Lieferantenkodex aufgefordert und bei Bedarf entsprechend geschult werden. Zulieferer und Subunternehmer sollen die Inhalte dieses Lieferantenkodex in geeigneter Form an ihre Lieferanten bzw. Zulieferer in der Lieferkette weitergeben.
Jeder Verstoß gegen die in diesem Lieferantenkodex aufgeführten Grundsätze wird von der MURTFELDT Group als eine wesentliche Beeinträchtigung des Vertragsverhältnisses seitens des Lieferanten betrachtet. Bei Hinweisen auf die Nichteinhaltung der Grundsätze dieses Lieferantenkodex (z. B. durch Medienberichte) behält sich die MURTFELDT Group unbeschadet weitergehender Rechte vor, Auskunft über den entsprechenden Sachverhalt zu verlangen.
3. Ansprechpartner
Grundsätzliche Ansprechpartner für unsere Lieferanten bzw. deren Arbeitnehmer sind die bereits bekannten Geschäftskontakte. Überdies haben Lieferanten bzw. Mitarbeiter von Lieferanten sowie nachgelagerte Lieferanten und deren Mitarbeiter sowie sonstige Betroffene die Möglichkeit, sich – auch vertraulich – an die Compliance-Hotline oder den Ombudsmann der
MURTFELDT
Group zu wenden, um auf Gesetzesverstöße oder Umstände hinzuweisen, die gegen diesen Lieferantenkodex verstoßen.
