7. Use of social media services
Murtfeldt Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG uses the external social media services provided by:
• Facebook / Instagram
(Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025, USA - Facebook)
(LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA)
• YouTube
(part of Google Inc., headquarters San Bruno/California, USA)
Our channels and content there are only linked via the page footer of this website. If you do not click on these links, you will not be connected to Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube and no data will be transmitted.
We don’t use Facebook / Instagram or X (prev. Twitter) plugins on this website
We don’t integrate any external plugins from Facebook / Instagram or LinkedIn on this website, which would establish a direct connection to their servers, for example to share content from the Murtfeldt website directly with these providers (Like button / Share button), and which would result in the transfer of (personal) user data to these providers.
Embedded YouTube videos on this website
Please see section “9. Use of YouTube plugin / embedded YouTube videos” in this Privacy Policy for information on the use of embedded YouTube videos.
The data collected by Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube when you visit these platforms
In the interest of maximum transparency, we would nevertheless like to explain the possible data processing by Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. The aforementioned providers collect user data when you visit their platforms, irrespective of our website content. Murtfeldt Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG is not responsible for the data processing on these platforms and has no influence on the processing carried out there. Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube are solely responsible for how the data from visits to their pages is collected and used, to what extent user activities can be attributed to individual users, how long the data is stored, and whether or not it is passed on to third parties.
Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube privacy policies
Details on what information the aforementioned providers obtain and how this is used can be found in their privacy policies:
• Facebook / Instagram privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php
• LinkedIn privacy policy: https://de.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
• YouTube privacy policy: www.youtube.com
Generally speaking, Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube collect information about provided and shared content and the devices used (device attributes, device IDs, device signals, cookies, etc.) and capture information (e.g. via Facebook business tools, Facebook login, Pixel, etc.).
The data is collected by accessing, logging in to and using the websites and apps. In particular, Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube collect your IP address and other information in the form of cookies on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit their social media platforms. Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube use this information for their own purposes, e.g. for statistics.
If you register for a Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube account, whether directly or using a single sign-on service, to use all interactive functions, the (personal) data you provide will be processed by Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. The data disclosed as a result of logging in and activity can be directly assigned to the user. It is possible to use Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube without registering, but this only allows you to visit public pages. Interactive features are not available.
When you visit our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTube pages and user behaviour is evaluated by tracking and analysis tools integrated by these providers, Murtfeldt Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG has no influence on this data processing.
Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube may transfer the data collected about you to countries outside the European Union.
Further information on how you can manage or delete the information about you on Facebook / Instagram can be found on the following Facebook support pages: https://www.facebook.com/about/
8. Proactive embedding of external YouTube videos / use of YouTube plugin
For the purpose of embedding videos, this website incorporates a function to launch a plug-in from YouTube, owned by Google Inc. and based in San Bruno, California, USA.
The linked YouTube videos display an explanatory text and are only loaded and embedded with your express consent. To access them, you have to actively click on the “Accept” button provided, which only establishes a connection to YouTube and embeds a video for playback after this action. If you don't click on this button, a connection to YouTube will not be established and no data will be transmitted.
Active loading of a YouTube video
When you visit a page of our website equipped with this function and actively click on the button/link to load a YouTube video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which specific page of our website you have visited. If you are also logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your account beforehand.
Further information on the processing of your personal data by YouTube can be found in its privacy policy at www.youtube.com.
