Lining of Bulk Material Silos with Dialen®

There are many different types of bulk materials. Sugar, salt, and grain are included, as well as sand, gravel, or coal. The common factor between these diverse raw materials is storage in silos, and also the question of the appropriate lining material for the silos. Our answer is UHMW-PE Dialen®, which features optimized wear resistance and can additionally be enriched with an additive that ensures electrostatic discharge capability. The use of Dialen® lining can lead to significant improvements, reflected in reduced energy costs, reduced downtime, and reduced maintenance work on conveyors.

MASS CONTAINER LINING

For a confectionery manufacturer, we lined a container with our Original "S"® natural [FS]® material. The previous plastic linings of the mass containers wore out too quickly, resulting in high maintenance costs and unwanted production stoppages. We re-measured the container, optimized the plate fastening, and lined the stainless steel container with our durable PE2000 material. The food-compliant material was specifically tailored to the geometry of the container, and the result was a perfect fit with no need for rework. Thanks to our solution, the container is now ready for longer operating times and reduced wear!

FENDER MADE OF UHMW-PE

In port construction, extreme conditions prevail. Robust materials are therefore required to protect both the quay walls and docking ships. One of our partners from Indonesia uses our UHMW-PE materials as fenders in port construction. Plates in the color orange serve as visual identifiers for specific ports in Indonesia. This need has also led to a collaboration with one of the oldest trading houses in Hamburg.
