DOUGH SCRAPER WITH SEPARATE STAINLESS STEEL SHAFT

A large bakery used polyurethane dough scrapers on dough kettles to remove leftover dough from the edges of the kettles. The plastic used for the scraper wore out quickly, so the entire welded component, consisting of an expensive stainless steel shaft and the polyurethane dough scraper, had to be regularly replaced. As a cost-saving solution, our application technology team designed a two-part assembly with the option to purchase the plastic scraper as a separate part. Thanks to the use of the technically advanced, antibacterial MURTFELDT plastic Original "S" plus+® AntiMicrobial [FS]®, the wear was significantly reduced. The component now has a much longer service life.

For a supplier to bakeries, we manufactured two different products for processing dough blanks after portioning. One is a turbine that shapes the dough into the form of a Kaiser roll, and the other is a stamp that leaves patterns on rolls, similar to the image shown. These parts were originally made of metal and were 3D printed with MurSint® PA12 blue [FS]®. This approach saved material and reduced weight. Thanks to the chemical smoothing process MurPearl®, the components are water- and dirt-repellent as well as food-safe. Our products are used in many production steps in the food industry.
