Based on PEEK (polyetheretherketone), Murpec® natural [FS]® has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion compared to other thermoplastics. This property ensures optimum dimensional stability, i.e. no dimensional change even in a wet environment. The high glass transition temperature means that stiffness and strength are virtually maintained at high temperatures.

Murpec® materials offer good dimensional stability and are extremely abrasion resistant.

The abbreviation [FS]® at the end of the name stands for Food Safe. This means that the material is certified for use with food.
