When there is not enough space for a conventional tensioning system beneath the chain, the Spann-Boy® is used. It is mounted next to the chain, requiring significantly less space. Our Spann-Boy® model is always supplied with a robust steel housing, with durability and reliable operation as top priorities. As a proven model, the Spann-Boy® has been in industrial use for decades and has been sold thousands of times.
Two different versions are available: with curved profile and with sprocket. The Spann-Boy® is equipped with a compression spring that can be selected in either “light” or “heavy” depending on the required tensioning force. The integrated holes and slots in the housing allow for easy installation and offer flexible adjustment options for precise retensioning.
With curved profile: available for simplex, duplex and triplex chains.
