The highest hygiene standards are essential in packaging technology and in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. Components must therefore have an absolutely smooth, dirt- and water-repellent surface.
However, the conventional raw material used in the SLS process (PA12-based polyamide powder) has a naturally porous structure. This absorbs liquids and dirt, which has previously necessitated additional steps such as dyeing or painting.
After intensive research, we have developed our own process that completely thermally and chemically seals SLS components – without the need for additional material application.
The result: 100% closed, smooth and repellent surfaces that can be used even in the most sensitive areas. This enables components that reliably meet the strictest hygiene regulations.
